Tonight the full
moon looks;
its cast is upon the
oceans
and in the eyes of
sailors
it is impartial in
judgement
it measures no
discourse.
And if you say the
right words
in prescribed sequence
and
let them drop into
place
and tap them home
your desire will be
done.
You have a neighbour
who stole your hat
who covets your wife
who has scratched at
your spine
for years. Who can
stand such tribulation
for so long? There
comes a time when
the measure of
affliction must be met.
You would have a lover
whose warmth, whose
softness
would grace your bed
whose ripeness you
would taste
but for the rind of
resistance.
You cast sweet sounds
in sequence
upon the ocean of fate
and the tide of
circumstance
will swell and flow.
Tonight the full moon
looks;
its cast is upon the
oceans
and in the eyes of
sailors.
